Mini-album of my Great-Granddaughter

I have several 12x12 scrapbook albums and mini-albums in progress for the grandchildren and great grandkids; and I have started a mini-album for my great granddaughter, Isabella Grace and will be titled as 2013 Her First Yeat at a Glance.  Each page will show her at 1 month through to 12 months when she celebrates her 1st year birthday.

I decided to start in the middle of her 1st year - at 9 months!  Here is the mini-album page with Isabella (Bella) with Pooh Bear and his Jug of Honey.

I printed the photo using my Silhouette Studio DE, but before printing I traced her image to take away some of the unneeded background.  Pooh Bear(s) and the Honey Jugs and the sentiment 'Sweet' was print and cut.  The background paper printed using a image I located in a Internet search.

****

And now for my freebie which is for your personal use ONLY.  This is a copyright image, so I am only offering as a free gift to all.

This shaped card will make a cute birthday card for a youngster or a party invitation for a Pooh Bear theme birthday party.  Zip file includes svg, mtc, png and jpeg files and it's for your personal use
only.

Last Rays of Sun - Yellow

When I seen this image from Stampin with the Dragon I immediately thought of the card kit from Creative Kuts - that kit that was offered about two or three weeks ago as a BAP (Build-a-Project) and I decided to place this dragon with his surf board right on the sun.

Markers I used from my stash/collection of Spectrum Noir and Bic Markers.  One edge of the surf board, the orange was done with Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink - Carrot.  Has a little shine to the color, that is why I used it.  (When I finished this coloring my Spectrum Noir markers in Yellows arrived in the mail ... LOL).

Head on over to Stampin with the Dragon and check out the Design Team's work, and surf the store for a buy.  Thank you for stopping by to visit with me/us and hugs to all.

Purple Power

This Challenge at Sweet Pea's Stampers

is Purple Power brought to you by Team A of Sweet Pea's Stampers DT.  And this was a great project to work with as I was learning how to do Twisted Easel cards.  Have watched a video Patty Penn over on YouTube on how to create the Twisted Easel Card, and she made it look so easy.

Staying with the color purple I colored the dress of the image purple (which looks blue in the picture, sorry the natural lighting at fault ... LOL). Added purple ribbon by the image, and the image has been foam taped to the layer.

I placed two flowers from my collection for embellishment to prop the easel along with a gemstone in the corner.  Happy Birthday was stamped in the corner.

Vampires - Witches

It's almost that time of year, Halloween, where all the spookies come out.  For my spooky card this week from Scrapper's Delights Online Store is Vampire-Witch Digital Set.

And here is my presentation:

I used the Witch image for my presentation.

Supplies used:

Cardstock
1 3/8" circle punch
2" scalloped circle punch
Coloring median: Spectrum Noir ink markers
Ribbon from my stash
Spider Web embossing folder
Spider cut file from Make the Cut Library

***

I first embossed the black card stork with the Spider web embossing folder and than placed the piece thru the Sizzix Big Shotz again to punch out the window for the Witch.  I colored the image using my new purples Spectrum Noir ink markers and centered in the window opening.

The sentiment I printed to size and punched with a hand punch and than punched a scalloped circle using a piece of orange cardstock.  Placed in the corner and using my Bow-Maker I created the bow (which was a easy feat as it was slippery!).  Placed the whole layered piece on foam tape and taped to the base and there's my Halloween card to send out.

***

I noticed that the Vampire-Witch digital set is 30% off so head on over to the Store for a look see at what she is offering in digi stamps.  Thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and hugs to all.

Challenge #19 - For the Girls

Good morning, all.  For the challenge at Creative Cutting Challenges, the theme is For the Girls and my project is a gift card created out of this purse from Girlz - Set Two

Purse closed

Purse open

You will be able to lay a gift card inside the purse (I would add a glue dot or two to the gift card) and close the purse.  The clasp I cut out of cardstock and two pieces of poster board and used some magnetic pigment color paint - bronze- to create a clasp.  Couldn't locate the magnets I thought I had in my stash of embellishments, so I used Velcros squares which I punch a circle  and place in the correct area for keeping the purse closed.

I printed and cut the heels from the file and colored red - all girls like to shop for new shoes.  Placed with foam tape to the left side and stamped the sentiment opposite side.  Place a ribbon for embellishment. Bot sentiments I used a retired stamp set from Stampin Up.

Stop by Creative Cutting Challenges and have a look at the Design Team's creations, and join us in the challenge.  Thank you for stopping by and visiting with me today.

High Heel Cupcakes

Normally I post cards and scrapbook pages, but my daughter-in-law and a friend  created these 'high-heel' cupcakes for my granddaughter's sleep-over (she's spending the night with 5 of her friends) and I wanted to share how cute they are, and they definitely could make a great idea for a birthday party, Halloween party or even for dessert for Thanksgiving.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Animals

You're all invited to the Challenge #76 at Pattie's Creations Designs and the theme for this challenge is: Animals.

I chose this lil kitty cat-napping in a flower pot .  Image is title 'Nap Time'.  I punched a border along the bottom of card and placed a lighter (baby green) piece of card stock behind the main base.  For the kitty napping, I printed out 2 x's and one piece I cut the kittie from the pot and foam taped her/him to the image on first piece.  I used a black and white polka dot washi tape for trim, with a ribbon placed on top.  And got out my trusty bow-maker and created a bow (I love that bow-maker, now that I know how to use it!).  Stamped 'hello' and punched with a small scalloped punch and placed a flower brad to the left of sentiment.

Card can be used for a little greeting card or a thank you card.  Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and hugs to all.

Birthday Overlay Card by Creative Kuts

Good Friday morning to all.  Here is a card I just finished using the Birthday Overlay design from Creative Kuts store.  The file was shared with us at their Facebook Group about a week ago (I'm late with these projects so not sure of the date it was released!)

I have some pretty paper that I bought in a paper pak from Wal-mart and decided to use this design paper as a layered piece on the card stock.  Placed the Birthday overlay on top.  I cut the overlay out 3 x's, once for the piece to lay on the cardstock, and than on poster board and again in yellow cardstock.  I hand cut the title Happy Birthday by detaching from the balloons and gift package.

I decided to go look for my glue glitter which I don't normally use, and found the tubes in a basket and picked out the bronze/gold glitter to color in the ribbon to give it some highlight.  The card will be added to my stash or put into the box for mailing to Operation Write Home.

Thank you for stopping by to see what I've been doing, and hugs to all.

***

Now for my creation -- I first created a scalloped-eyelet easel base and printed Dracula and Damsel and than print and cut the image onto a layer of scalloped eyelet circle that is placed on the easel base.  I colored mainly black and gray.

The sentiment was printed and than cut out and layered on the bottom half of the easel.  Added gems, brads and a ribbon for my embellishments.

Celebrations and Thankfulness - Fall Blog Hop

Fall is such a beautiful time of the year, it’s when the leaves start changing colors and everything around us is beautiful. It is also the season of Thanksgiving, which reminds us to take a moment to reflect on all the things we are most thankful for.

So in celebration of Fall, we are hosting a Celebrations & Thankfulness Blog Hop. As you hop along with the Kraftie Kre8ations Design Team and members, we hope you will be inspired to create your own thankfulness project.

***

Welcome to our Thankfulness and Celebrations Blog Hop which started on September 12, 2013 at Kraftie Kre8ations  and my presentation is today, Saturday, September 14, 2013.

***

This is a Fall card that can be used to express your thankfulness to family or friend at Thanksgiving, or to celebrate the Fall season.

This is a basket or a gate that I created a card with my Silhouette Cameo and Studio DE software.  I duplicated the basket, removed the inner pieces and attached to the side of a card stock.  Than I cut out the basket weaving  and inserted brads on the corners of the basket front.  The pumpkins was welded to the back of the card stock, and than cut out the individual pumpkins and glued to each pumpkin piece.  I added leaves to set behind the title, and one leaf inside.  Grass was added to the edge of the basket.

***

Our Challenge for the Hoppers:

Our color palette is an amazing representation of the changing colors of trees in the fall. You can create ANY project related to the Fall to include the best thankfulness day of all, Thanksgiving. It can be a layout, card, mixed media project or altered item. The sky is the limit! Once you create your project, come back here and upload your project in inLinkz link. Show off your creation.

Weddings

Over here at Stampin with the Dragon we was asked to create a wedding card, and I was viewing videos on youtube.com recently and came across a video to create a Gate-fold easel card, and I thought how cute.

With my trusty Studio DE software, I placed the image onto the mat, traced it and than printed out on cardstock.  I hand cut around the bride and groom.  Once I finished coloring the image, I placed onto a embossed card, using my swiss dot embossing folder.  I printed Congratulations and Wedding with the print and cut option.  Papers were provided by Stampin with the Dragon.  I created a bow with my easy-bow maker, and placed just under the easel card with a button placed in the center of bow.  The closure for the card is a belly-band with a label created from paper design from my Silhouette library.

Head on over here for  Amy's Wedding Day with Heart image.  And the video for this Gate-fold easel card is here.

Now who to receive this wedding card --- my brother and his soon to be wife.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me and blessings to all

Halloween Overlay Card

Good morning.  Trying to catch up on my projects, and seems like I get behinder all the time. LOL  This card is using a Halloween overlay created by Marji Reineke Franklin with Creative Kuts.

I cut out the overlay in black on layered on a orange card.  Then I cut out the overlay again in yellow, and detached the sun and the house, and then backed the piece for lighting in the house. The sentiment, Boo, I had a small die cut that I ran thru the Big Shotz machine, 2 x's, and placed the yellow on top of a the white with foam tape to give it some dimension.  Created a Halloween card to send to a granddaughter, or may-be place in the next 'care-pkg' to my grandson at Purdue.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and hugs and blessings to all.

Happy Birthday Blog Hop

Various shades of pink, lavender, white and other pastel colors.  Here is my photo:

This is considered a Twisted Easel Card, which I cut out a base 4.25x8.50, folded the main base in half, at 4.25 inches.  Than I folded the top of the folded base at a triangle, and placed a 4.25x4.25 square on, at an angle, hopefully the next picture will show what I talking about.

The next set is a front shot of the card...

Using my Stampin! Up Ink markers, Pretty Pink and Pixie Pink, I colored the dress two shades of pink.  The hair is Creamy Caramel (discontinued in 2013-14 catalog), and new colors for the gift package  she is holding: Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, and Calypso Coral.  The shoes two shades of brown by Stampin! Up: Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip.

The gifts on the front and inside of card is print and cut using my Silhouette Studio DE, the light pink card, that is layered on the darker pink is punch with my scalloped eyelet punch

Here is the card laid out fully and hope you will be to see it.

And here is my creation

I placed the witch in an oval, using my Sizzix Oval die cuts (and using my new magnetic board from Stampin Up) to cut the printed image first, and than cut out the next size up of the oval and than once again with the size down to create the black frame.  The side piece is printed from a image I purchased from the SilhouetteAmericaonline store and cut it so the tree shows.  Placed a black and white polka dot washi tape across the center, and than cut out bats and spiders as embellishments along with a run down fence.  Stamped 'Happy Halloween' using my Teeny-weeny sentiments from Stampin Up.

Back to School Blog Hop

I chose to create a card for this weekend's Back to School Blog Hop

Here are the details of the card:

I used a Kraft card for the base, and layered with a apple overlay.  The overlay and embellishments are from a file by CreativeKuts  that was distributed by Creative Kuts Facebook Fan page last week.  This would make a cute card for a returning student to give to their teacher as a welcome back or thank you type card. The sentiment is not included in Creative Kuts file; I print and cut the file using my Silhouette Studio DE software.

Tags, tags and more tags

For this challenge over at Pattie's Creations Challenge we was asked to create tags, just tags, no cards or scrapbook pages.  This was a challenge for me as I don't usually create tags, unless it's a quick folded piece of paper for a gift.

I first cut the Cupcake from Pattie's Creations Design with my Silhouette Cameo and Studio DE software using the print and cut technique.  And than print out the cupcake a 2nd time in order to cut out, by hand the two hearts.  I ran the hearts thru my small xylon sticker maker reversing the image so the sticky side is up.  Pressed the image into a small amount of Martha Stewart fine glitter and have a glittered heart! The sentiment "Happy Birthday" was placed onto the tag on the mat of the software, and than print and cut 2 x's, on pink and blue cardstock, for a boy and girl birthday tags.  Finished the project with pink ribbon, and a corded string for the blue.

Thank you for stopping by, and head on over to Pattie's Creations Design Blog for the Tag challenge and join us in the fun.  Hugs to all of you.

Finished Train and Invitations for Carson's Birthday Party

When I was talking with my granddaughter, Connie she mention postcards for invitations, and I said, yes I can do that since I have a post card stamp (brand new this year) from Stampin Up.  And the front of the post card is a ticket for each child that I found in the SilhouetteAmerica online store.  I created a ticket for the front of the postcard and placed Carson's name and his age on the front, with Birthday Party above Admit one.  The back side of the invitation I used my Stampin Up  Postcard stamp and stamped 15 times!

The Thomas the Train is another print and cut creation using a image found on a Internet search of Thomas.  I inserted 3 and Carson's name on 15 buttons which will be given to each child as a token to keep.

This is the decoration that I was working on quite a bit last week and finished Monday with a photo shoot and editing on Tuesday; and now on it's way to Indiana.  The Train file is from, once again, SilhouetteAmerica online store.  The letters I created, and the background is poster board cut out in the shape of each car.  I welded letters to top and bottom.

And the birthday party is October 5, 2013 which I am not attending in person, but by creating these decorations I am there in spirit!

On the Thomas the Train cupcake toppers, if anyone is interested in the print and cut file, just indicate in the comment section along with your e-mail, and I will send both set 1 and set 2 in .studio format.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me again, and hugs to all.
