Wedding Card Challenge

Wedding Card Challenge....great fun creating this card as it is for my step-son and soon to be wife  who is getting married this coming May 4, 2013.

Using the cut file from Creative Pointe and a cut file from .silhouetteonlinestore.com by Lori Whitlock I used cream color card stock for the base.  The silvery, glittery paper on the cake from Michaels Store and the gray polka dot background paper for the layering.  The Silhouette Wedding Couple are one's I created using my SCAL3 software, and will be available in my store. Small flowers from the ribbon section of the sewing department of Wal-mart Store; and the pearls on each end of card in the $1.00 section at Michaels.

Challenge #31 Mother's Day Card

Mother's Day is the theme for this bi-weekly challenge at Platypus Creeks Digital and I created a Mother's Day Pocket Card as a slider card.  This is the face version of the card.

And this shows the inside of card where you write your special msg to your Mother, Mum or Mom.

I placed the digi stamp from Platypus Creeks Digital Store into SCAL3 and created a svg file, saved it and than merged into my Silhouette Studio Design Edition for print and cut the flowers.  The pocket I created a small tab on one end, after copying the pocket, and welded together.  The sentiment and oval circles was created in SCAL3.  I embossed the front of the pocket and placed a ribbon on the one side and had this finished bow I had created using the bow making system.  Folded the tab and glued to the back side of the pocket.  The bottom of the pocket I left open...the slider card will not fall through.

Actually, if I make this card again, I will weld a rectangle across the top where it's the shape of the flowers as the flowers will come down over it.  Mainly because the cut edges 'catch' on the flower section and slider card will not go down.  I highlighted the 'stitching' along the edge of pocket.

This card will either go into the donation box for Operation Write Home or be saved to mail out next year.

Thank you for stopping by, and go to Platypus Creeks Digital and submit your designs in the challenge.

Crop-on-Line Card back again.....

A Gate Card with butterflies and fancy border.  I cut the base out of blue card stock, and again with the pretty design paper I found at Wal-mart.  Trimmed it where it was to be folded and placed on the gates of the card.   Oval circle cut out and placed in the center of the card for the message.  I used silver glitter-looking paper for the butterflies with a purple gem stone for the head of butterflies.

If interested in Crop-on-Line Cards ... go to Creative Kuts Group Page or e-mail to cheryl@creativekuts.com and request the card file...not sure what the actual name is...my download zip file came as card.02.zip

Thank you for visiting with me today, and hope it is a great Friday for you all.

Image from Stamping Chef

Really don't know how to write this up today...finished this card .....

I created a side-step card with the cute puppy on the side.  His dog house at the top of the steps, the food/water dish and bone in the center and a fire hydrant on first.  The background paper I created from a background image located on a Internet/Google search and printed it out onto 8.5x11 card stock.  Placed it on Kraft type card stock.  The sentiment also included with the image.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Owl Pillow Box

Owl Pillow Box
This is the Build-A-Project (BAP) over at Creative Kuts for this past week, and very simple to create.

Anyone interested in joining us at Creative Cuts Posts click on this link and hopefully will take you to the Facebook Fan page.

Free project are available Monday and Tuesday weekly upon email
request

Onto the project, I created the pillow box by first cutting the pillow box out of poster board so it will be stiff enough to hold together.  Than, Wal-mart had some new Colorbox paper pads in and this had a page that looked like the front on the owl, so used that plus color-coordinated  colors for the wings and feathers.  The eyes, beak and feet cut out of card stock.

Cute little box to insert a small candy bar or candy pieces into and give as a gift to a Owl lover.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

For You .. Scrapper's Delight Paper Crafting

For U

Good morning and Happy Spring to all.  This is my first posting as a member of the Design Team for Scrapper's Delights Paper Crafting and I am enjoying very much this opportunity to be part of a wonderful team.

The digi stamp image I chosen is For U...colored with Copic and Stampin! Up markers.  I cut out four squares from design paper by Colorbox, layered on card stock.  Than I placed on a 8.5x4.25 card base, and punched out the top with a edge punch in lacy edging.

I stamped 'Hello' onto card stock, punched out with a scalloped oval hand punch and foam taped to the one corner.  This card would make a lovely note card for someone; or a thank you card.

By clicking on the above link, you will be directed to Scrapper's Delights Paper Crafting store.

Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all.

Birthday Card 4 my son-in-law

Good morning.... I am posting this before getting ready for my day....

My son-in-law's birthday is today and of course I am late with mailing this card out to him.  I thought I had plenty of time, and of course, time got away with me  ... LOL

This is a digi stamp image from The Stamping Chef Store and since there is a running joke with myself and my son-in-law about me riding a 'broom' around  I thought this would make a great birthday card for him, even though it's more for Halloween!

I used my Sakura gel pens to color in the top and panties, and a orange smooch for the pumpkin.  And the nylons  I created by using a pen  to draw in the mesh pieces for the nylons.  Sentiment is from .drsdesigns.com that I printed, punched out and placed under the broom.

Thank you for visiting with me today, and hugs to all.

Baby Boo's Release Blog Hop

Good morning ... are your ready for another great blog hop....we're showcasing the new releases of "Baby Boos" by Scrapper's Delights.

And now..... to the card I created using a "Baby Boo" from

I was not sure how to create this card, but giving me a few minutes, I can come up with some ideas.  I have a new machine that I can emboss a whole sheet of cardstock or just a smaller size called the eBosser and I really love it.  I embossed the whole cardstock and placed the colored image, after mating it on the card.  Than I printed out the sentiment "Miss You" on white, and placed in the blank area that was not embossed.  I created the flowers using my Silhouette Cameo and SCAL3 software...the flower is from the SCAL3 library.  Placed a brad in the center of the flower and glue dot to the ends of the sentiment.  The markers I used for coloring from Stampin! Up and Copic markers, and placed eyelets at each bottom corner and threaded twine and tied it into a bow.

CDAC Progressive Challenge

This is a Progressive Challenge where you request the first digi stamp image, create a project with it and post it to the Challenge Board, and than request the 2nd image, so on until you completed four projects.

CDAC Over the Rainbow
When I seen the Rainbow digi stamp image I immediately thought of the song "Over the Rainbow" (I'm old) and googled it to come up with a music sheet.   I printed out a full page using Abode Photoshop Elements 7 and trimmed off what I wanted to use...'skyways, there's a rainbow highway to be found'.

I combined the rainbow image and the sentiment, and brought it over into my Silhouette Studio Design Edition software to trace and than done a offset of the traced image and print and cut.  The yellow mat is a free file from svgcuts.com which I trimmed to fit the card settings.

I used my Copic markers for the coloring (I love my Copics...just wish they were cheaper!!)  And glued all pieces in place and a basic card for a friend or family member.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Other Challenges I'm entering:

Challenge # 30 Flowers & Pearls

Our project for this challenge must include flowers and pearls, and I created a card base using flower design for the background and the embellishment comes from http://www.platypuscreekdigitals.com

#PCCF-027 11 Point Nested Shape Print & Cut

Here is my Birthday Card using the digital stamp which I brought into my Silhouette Studio DE and created a version of print and cut element.

I colored in the flowers (look like Pansies) purple, and placed a bead in the center of each flower.  Added a strip of purplish color card stock about 2/3's down from top and placed the tag in the center on foam tape.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Mother's Day Challenge

Card #1:

I first cut out the card base from a svg file from http://www.creativepointe.com with Mom cut out in approximately the center.  Than using Versamark and a Stampin! Up stamp, Fifth Avenue Floral (believe it's retired stamp set) I placed the watermark image right below Mom and embossed with white embossing powder.  Use a ribbon and two flowers for embellishing the card.  For backing of the Mom cut out I placed a  off-white piece of cardstock and placed behind the opening.

The next two (2) cards using the card base from BirdsCards names Rose Edge Card whiich is a stenciled edge of Roses.  The card can be used with the rose edge to the side or as I done, along the bottom.

I cut out the Mom Charm and the back shadow and placed over a ribbon above the cutouts of the stenciled roses.  The blue card I placed small flowers at each ends of the charm and added punched butterflies for embellishments.

I hand trimmed the backing for the blue card, and than for the green card, I joined the pieces to come up with a 'welded' look and cut out with my machine.  And than trimmed it off at the perforated line.  Easy-peasy....

Head on over to Creatove Cutting Challenges and check out the DT's projects, and if you like, submit a card or layout of your own in the challenge.

Introducing Ariana

She is going to a party....a birthday party.  This image is by The Stamping Chef and very beautifully created.  I wanted to show that gray-hair ladies have fun too... that's the reason for the gray hair.  I wanted the dress to be black faux leather or close to it so use my Metallic Rub-ons paint and a Fantastix coloring tool  to color in the dress.  The beanie or beret a orange smooch was use with a brown marker to color the tag on the top.

The circle flower mat cut file layered over a circle which is attached to a rounded-corner rectangle.  I trimmed a piece of cardstock and glued to the inside of the card and the flowers I created/cut out using my SCAL3 and the pattern is from the included library.  The stamp is from Stampin! Up.  I used Copic  markers on the facial and arm skin and blue for the eyes.  I embossed the center circle mat using my new ecraft embossing machine .... love, love, love that machine.

Drop by http://thestampingchef.wordpress.com for the DT inspirational work, and stop by Stamping Chef Store for purchasing this digi stamp or check out what she has...she has a new line of kids and Quirky designs .... very, very cute images.

CDAC Progressive digi Challenge - Umbrella by NV

Over at CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenges, the challenge's running from April thru June, 2013 is sponsored by Nana Vics and Back to Paper.  It is progressive because you request image #1 which is the Umbrella, create a project, post it and than request the second image, so forth.  Just go on over to cdac-progressive-freebie-challenges and read the rules...

I had purchased this card kit several years ago, and did not do anything with it until now.  I would call this a gate-type card with a square flap on it.  I loaded the image into my editing program and used the main umbrella and created three smaller ones.  I colored them using my Copic makers and Sukara Gel-pens.  The paper and cardstock is from Close to My Heart (probably no longer in stock).

Welcome to Scrapper’s Delights Blog Hop!

This week we are showcasing our newest images.
So get comfortable, grab some coffee or drink of your choice
and enjoy what the Design Team has come up with for you.
 ----------------------------------------------

Here is my project which is my first project with the Design Team

This is my first attempt at the z-fold shape card standing on end and sizes and all was a guess on my part.  I used the Anna-Mae digital stamp from Scrappers Delights Paper Crafting for my first project.  I used my Stampin! Up ink markers for coloring the image, except for the shoes which I wanted to look like black patent (if that's the correct word) shoes, so I used my black Sukura Gel Pen to give the shoes that shiny look.

The mat is from a scrapbook paper collection I have saved on my computer, and the plaid paper is one I printed from a collection of scrap papers I again saved.    I stamped Hello in the corner and placed a gem over the 'e'.  Inside the card, which you just barely see, I placed the same matting, and than a designed brad at the top to help prop the card up (it gets heavy and the back will fall backwards.)

I enjoyed making this type of card and will make more, and I love the images that Scrapper's Delights Paper Crafting has available.  You can click on the coupon below to go to her store and use the 40% off coupon entire order.  She does have lovely digital stamps....

New release at The Stamping Chef

Culinary Clarie

One of the new releases this week is Culinary Claire, a lovely little cook.  I colored her with my Stampin! Up watercolor pencils but first I printed her out and than cut the image into a fancy mat.  I offset the mat to create the 2nd label and placed under the first one, and placed the 2 mats over a strip of design paper.  I printed out the sentiment, and than used a hand punch to punch a scalloped oval.

Creative Cutting Challenges - Baby

Creative Cutting Challenge theme for the first two weeks of April is Baby and since I have been working on a Baby Girl Mini-Album I thought I would use this for the challenge..... So here goes, and it may be a long blog write up as there is front cover, 4 pages and a back cover to show you.  I have posted photos before but they were not completed and pages 3 and 4 is not completed due to running out of the necessary supplies to finish ... LOL  (Wal-mart appreciates my business, I'm sure as they are the store I go to for craft supplies).

Here goes:

Front Cover

The title is a set from http://www.creativepointe.com available at http://www.cutandcreate.com that I placed on the front of the cover for this Baby Girl's Baby Mini-album.  I supply my own paper when needed, and the skirting is created from scrapbook paper that I downloaded from either My Memories Suites software, printed out using Abode Photoshop Elements Version 7, and cut the front of the skirting.  Another section of skirting was cut out in white cardstock, and the band across the bassinet was cut out another scrapbook paper from My Memories Suite.  I drew in stitches on the title, "Baby".

Page One:  Using the same scrapbook paper from My Memories Suite I cut out to the size of bassinet/crib and than the top of the crib I placed a layer of similar polka-dot paper and placed a ribbon along the edge, dividing the section from the lacy edge. The three bears I found on a search of the Internet...actually one bear that I welded together in my Silhouette Studio DE software, and print and cut the piece along with a background and layered over the edging banner.

PageTwo:  I cut out two ladybugs which is a svg cutfile from http://www.misskatecuttables.com  and placed on each end of the banner.  The layered title I print and cut and placed in the center; and the paper's from Joann Fabrics that my granddaughter purchased for the scrapbook I am creating for her little girl, Isabella....so I used in this mini-album as it's going to my granddaughter.

Page Three:  The baby bottle is a a svg cut file that I created...actually the back ground of the bottle used on the back cover of this album.  The scalloped circle cut out wrong, but I liked it so will use it to put a picture in...using as a frame

Page Four:  It's actually plain right now....it will probably have photo mats and a mat for writing in information.
Pages Three and Four:  not completed yet...waiting to get some poster board to cut out the main piece for the card stock to be placed on!!

The Back Cover.... Once again I found the design for the paper on the Internet, brought into my software and printed it out to use as scrapbook paper/designer paper.  The bottle I created as a svg cut file in SCAL3, and brought it over to Studio Design Edition to print and cut.  I found the scalloped circle and scalloped frame on My Memories Suite, created a svg file from it, and will use to insert a photo of baby into.  The bottle can be used as is, or for journaling.

Now the last picture is of the mini-album put together.  I apologize that the face is not stamped on or the hair bow is placed.  You can see the stamped face on Page One, using a acrylic stamp I purchased from http://www.peachykeenstamps.com...a baby face with a pacifier in her mouth.  And the hair curl and hair ribbon bow has been placed.

Whew...this is one long-windy blog but I hope you enjoy this as much as I have been enjoying creating this Baby Girl Mini-Album.  Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Challenge #29

Challenge #29 at http://www.platypuscreekdigitals.blogspot.com is Recipe - 2 printed papers, 1 ribbon (oops I didn't add this to my project!) and a charm.  Using the #PCCF-004 Birdhouse Card, I created the following....

I cut the card base out, cut off where it was joined, and decorated the front piece of the card.  I cut the flowers and leaf flouish with my Silhouette Studio Design Edition.  The flourish was a bit of work but I finally did get something I am quite happy with.  I stamped the sentiment in left corner using a stamp from Stampin Up.  Gems was used for the eys and the two corners fo the card.  The mat that I used is from one I have as a scrapbook page digital, printed it out...you will also see the same paper in the Baby Girl Mini-Album I am working on.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.
