BAP #35 Fall Step Card

Halloween ... Not a Card Challenge

Halloween...Not a Card Challenge....was a challenge for me.  I had done a scrapbook page for the first challenge and did not want to do another... but a layout I did... here is what I done...

I surfed the Internet for inspiration and loved this layout so decided to use ... thank you to whoever created the original...can't remember.  (Need to write this info down...another idea to work on...a altered book for use here at the computer.)

Using files from creativepointe.blogspot.com I gathered my paper/cardstock from my stash from Wal-mart and Stampin! UP.  I found a frame from surfing the Internet, saved and printed and cut from my Designing Edition for the Silhouette Cameo.  Placed the orange background on the 12x12 page and placed the frame with a acetate sheets (from the cover of my Cricut mat) as a glass window, and used foam tape to pop up the frame on each side and the bottom edge, leaving the top edge open to insert a photo.  The witch, ghost, cat and Halloween title svg are Creativepointe files.  Fence is from a Creative Kuts svg file that I placed in the vitual mat and joined them and cut out.  Pumpkin svg is my file.

Next one..I have seen these and thought...hummm I'll make some cupcakes for my 'staging' of this project..

All files from creativepointe.blogspot.com .  Using my SCAL3 software I downsized the images to fit onto a Popsicle stick that I trimmed in half...u can use toothpicks but these flat sided Popsicle sticks work great and found them in the craft area at Wal-mart...where the cake decorations are sold.  The cupcakes were enjoyed by my sister's co-workers!!  I ended up using adhesive on the stick to glue the figures on.... 2-sided tape did not work very well for me!!

Third and last one I worked....

This is a cupcake wrapper which I used cardstock and paper from my Wal-mart stash...but if I made these again, it would be just paper, I think.  (Any ideas on that!!)  The Halloween title is a svg cut from the same file set from creativepointe.blogspot.com.  I wanted to show the project before and after wrapping around a cupcake.

Please join us at Creative Cutting Challenges and submit your project for the Halloween...Not a Card Challenge and for some inspiration too.

Thank you for visiting with me today, and hugs to ala.

Challenge #16 Pearls and Lace

I must have been sleeping or something....LOL  There is a challenge going on over at http://www.platypuscreekdigitals.blogspot.com for the next two weeks and I created a hat...and here is the results.

I used the PCCF-005 Hat Card cut file from
for the theme.  Where the band that comes around the hat I replaced
with lacy ribbon, and placed a pearl in the center of the flower.   The
butterfly paper is from a tablet of paper called Colorbok from Wal-mart.
I ended up sewing the paper around the top of the hat to keep it in
place plus I hand stitched around the brim of the hat.  I will
be stamping Happy Birthday inside and send to a friend who's birthday was
today...I'm late, again.

look at the design team members work of art, plus join in the
challenge.  Would love to see your work.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting with me, and hugs to all

BAP #35 Step-card - Fall

Almost forgot to post this...heaven forbid!! A step-card using Chenelle Havest file from Creative Kuts.  The pumpkins is from my collection of file cuts, and the Sunflowers from another file from http://www.creativepointe.blogspot.com that I used in a challenge.  Done a lot of combining of cut files on this card.  The acorn and leaf and word 'Fall' included with step-card file. The paper from a pkg purchased at, of course, Wal-mart.  LOL

Thank you for stopping by and blessings to all.

Witch Brewing

Good morning...this is  my project for Creative Kuts...

$4.00

I cut out a bracket shaped card, and had a circle left over from a previous cut which fit perfectly in the top part of the card, I stamped a web from a set of stamps I purchased at the Keepsakes Scrapbook store here in town.  I printed out the jpeg image of Witch Brewing and colored with my various markers I have on hand and attached her to the side of the web with foam tape.  The spiders are from the same set of stamps and stamped them in 3 different areas.  The label...Halloween Treats I found in my fonts directory and printed this out and than hand cut the label.

If interested in the cut file, click on the link above and will take you to the creative Kuts Store

Thank you for stopping by and hope your Sunday is a great day for you.

New Release from Platypus Creek Digitals

PCD-Turkey Cut file

Release date:  September 14, 2012

I cut the turkey out from Wal-mart cardstock and adhered to the base.  The sentiment is probably used by alot of people....Gobble Gobble...Where's the Beef?  I again print and cut the label and added foam tape to the back and laid it just about where he would be talking.  The leave cut outs are part of the file.

Once again, I will be donating this to Operation Write Home for our military personnel deployed overseas...but I will have to add white or a lighter color cardstock inside for the written msg.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and hugs to all.

A Design Team Call (not for me, for a friend)

I am posting this for a friend:

SVG Cutting Files is looking for enthusiastic, talented and friendly designers to join in on our Design Team!

DT APPLICATION STATUS: CURRENTLY OPEN
Deadline October 1, 2012
We have a LIMITED amount of spaces available, so please make sure to send in your BEST work to stand out from the rest!
Please read the GUIDELINES below so you know what would be expected of you if you are chosen to join the SVG DT Crew!
(Submit your application at the bottom of the page!)

Design Team Responsibilities
Since we are a start up company and just establishing a Design Team, the following guidelines are just that: GUIDELINES for what we hope to accomplish. We may change things around as we grow and find what works best for us.
At this time, we are NOT doing any challenge for the site. At this time we just want to get completed projects of our designs out there and to get our DT more established. Once we get this well underway, we will begin doing bi-weekly challenges for our new releases and promos! Hoping for a Challenge blog to start early 2013!

GENERAL
Good pictures will make your projects look their best. Please ensure that your photos are clear and the entire project is visible in the photo.
When posting your project (blog, facebook, twitter, etc) please include a link back to SVG Cutting Files in the body of your post.
When creating your projects please limit the use of other company’s products. We understand the need to use other companies products to enhance a project, but since we are trying to promote SVG CUTTING FILES, we need to make sure the main focus of the project is using one of our products.
Please check in with SVG group often, as this is where all information and updates will be posted. (link will be provided upon approval to DT area)
We are working as a TEAM, so please be helpful to all with any questions, suggestions for feedback. We can always allow for room to grow.....
Think out of the box. Our fans will want to see different ways to make things using our files, so if you have a brilliant idea to make something other then your normal style...GO FOR IT!
There is NO Sharing of files with one another, or anyone else. We are more than happy to provide the files to you for FREE, but please make sure you do not DISTRIBUTE them in any way shape or form! This is a violation of our TOU.
DT members choose their committment level to the DT. Sign up for what you KNOW you can deliver on (1 a month, 4 a month, etc)...we will work it into the schedule!

GETTING YOUR FILES
I will post previews of the new files that will be available for you to work with in our DT area.
Image files will be given out on a first come first serve basis, with a rotation of first choosing, so everyone will get first choice at some point.
If the file is a theme collection and has multiple files to it, you can choose 1-2 files from the collection to work with.
You will be assigned a day of the week for your deadline (see more info below in Deadlines section)
Upon completion of your completed project, you can request your next file(s) on your designated day (see rotation schedule and release dates in DT area)
Please INK, CHALK, etc your project pieces in the areas needed to really make them POP through a photo....sometimes our designs have many multi layers (hair) and unless they are INKED or CHALKED you do not see the full dimension of the layers.
**I will give as much notice as possible on new releases and dates so you can get your schedule assigned quicker and you can start working on your projects.

DEADLINES
It is the DT's responsibility to get their project in on time. There will be a schedule, so there should be NO QUESTION on when your due date is.
All creations should be emailed to sales@svgcuttingfiles.com at least TWO days prior to your due date.
Meeting design deadlines is important to be a successful DT member. When a DT signs up, we ask for your committment level. We do not PUSH for more than what you originally agreed to supply. However, we do know that LIFE happens, and there will be times that you are not able to make your deadline. We ask that you PLEASE give us as much notice as possible if you are not going to make a deadline, so we can have another fill in or make other arrangements.
Vacations or other time off? Not a problem. Please let us know as soon as you do when you need time off. We can either get files to you SUPER SUPER early so you can create before you leave, or we can find a temporary fill in for you during your absence!
We would like to include AS MUCH information as possible about your project. Please make sure to include any vital information in with your design (ie:cut file from Svgcuttingfiles.com, papers from suchandsuchstore.com, etc) Providing the information allows others to recreate and get the same look/feel as you did when making their projects!

SELLING FOR PROFIT?
Not only do we allow this, WE ENCOURAGE IT!
If you need to make extra income and want to sell your finished project for profit, then by all means, do so!
All we ask, if you sell on eBay, Etsy, or any other marketplace, that you make sure to credit SVG CUTTING FILES in your listings as a source for the files.

6 MONTH END OF TERM FOR DT
Our DT will run for 6 months. At the end of your 6 month stint, we will open up a DT Call to replace you, IF YOU CHOOSE to move on.
If you ever need to resign from the design team BEFORE the 6 months is up, please give us a timely notice so we can open up the DT to find your replacement.
Immediate removal from our DT will result if we find you to be sharing or selling our files or if you have missed more then 15% of your deadlines in your 6 month period.
SVG Cutting Files reserves the right to remove you from the DT at anytime without notice.

SOCIAL NETWORKING & PROMOTING
Gotta admit, this is my LEAST favorite part to do, BUT ITS THE MOST IMPORTANT!
I am not a Facebook, blog, or twitter girl. I dont really get into the whole social networking aspect (mainly because I am creating!)...but its a NECESSARY part of the business.
It WILL be necessary for you to help promote the site and our files. If you own a Facebook account, we do NOT expect you to blow up your personal page with our products, but we DO ask you to post on OUR page. If you think your friends and family would be interested in what we do, then by all means, post on your own personal pages too!

When posting (facebook, twitter, pinterest, etc) please make sure you LINK your project to the actual FILE for the product in our store. Makes it easier for a customer to find it! If you do not have a project that day to post, we ask that you still participate on your 'off' days and comment and tweet on your fellow DT members projects, as well as any fans too! All it takes is a few words, like NICE JOB to accomplish this. :)

If you do not Facebook or Twitter, but have a BLOG instead, we ask you to do the same (post and link to the actual product page in our store) OR you can link to our Fan page of the finished designs of your fellow DT.

Help spread the word about our Facebook page to your friends, family and fellow crafters as much as possible. This will aid in our success, and in turn benefit you as well.

Still Interested?
sign up before our deadline of Oct 1, 2012
Then submit an application to see if you make the cut!
Please have the following information:
Full name, Address, Phone Number and Email Address
Date of Birth (year not necessary!)
Links to your Blog, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Etsy, etc pages... (so we can follow and LIKE you too!)
Submit 3-5 photo samples of your work. Please make sure at least 1-2 submitted are using SVG Cutting File products (don't have any? Try some of our FREE files!)
Tell us in a paragraph, why you want to work with SVG Cutting Files.
If you are on any other design teams, please let us know about those as well.

Creative Cutting Challenge #1

Good morning...this is Day One of a Challenge at Creative Cutting Challenges using svg cut files for the the first theme: "Anything Goes". I worked up a 2-page layout of a scrapbook of my grandson, D.J. playing football for the Triton Football Team of Bourbon, Indiana.....

2-page layout for grandson's scrapbook.
Football svg cutting file from
Creative Pointe

Used 2 footballs from Creative Pointe's svg cut file Football, and created the word, Football.  Two football plays are silhouetted and the helmet has the Triton H.S. mascot...Trojan.  #31 is grandson's number!!  I cut the two pics with my good-ole scissors to make more realistic.

Please join us in the very first challenge at creativecuttingchallenges.blogspot.com.  We use svg cut files in all of our projects and can be cards, scrapbook page layouts, 3-D projects...just let your imagination flow.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and hugs to all.
