Alphabet Series

Good morning....I am working on a Series of the Alphabet letters...both upper and lower case where I have included the little cut lines on the edge.  The series will include both jpeg and png images that can be printed out and cut.  U can open up in whatever photo editing program, color and than print out for scrapbooks.  Also can print and cut out with your electronic cutters.  Lots of different ways to work with the images.  Plus I have included the svg, mtc, scut2 and scut3 files for cutting on card stock.  This is for personal use only on your cards or scrapbook pages.

And now to the wonderful news...I may have visitors late March or early April....depending on my son's orders for Korea.  If the family is approved, and he gets his orders he will put in for his 30-day leave, close out housing there on base, and than visit family.  They plan to travel to Illinois, Wisconsin, possibly Indiana and than come visit Mama/Grandma.  I get to see my grandbabies b/4 they leave to live in Korea....thousand of miles away.  I know there will be plenty of tears ... at least for me.  I will be babysitting their 2 year dog, Bella for 2 yrs, and their vehicle will be parked here (so nice to be trusted!!).  I am sooooo looking forward to this visit...can't wait.

Thank you for stopping by and letting me share my files with you, and sharing my wonderful news with you all.  Hugs to all.

A Good Morning

It's Saturday and it had been a good week...became a Great Aunt this past Monday afternoon to a cute-as-a-button baby girl, Averi Renee weighing in at 5 lbs 1 oz.  ... six weeks early, and she went home to be with the rest of her family yesterday.

And I have been watching videos on YouTube.com of hints and techniques, using Make the Cut software by Cre8tive Cutz and learning a lot and using it in my designing.  The free file today is an attempt at what I have learn...still learning...have to tweak the rough edges somewhat.

It's a little rough, but I wanted to get something out to you faithful followers today.  I am working on a project but do not know if it will be as free files or put into the store.  Will let you know as soon as I make a decision.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a great weekend.  Hugs to all..

Store Additions

I have open the Granny Ma's Creations Store  (just click on the tab at top of blog and it will take you to the store) and in the process of adding my files and any type of handmade cards to the 'shelves'.  Would love to have you stop on over and check me out, and if you see anything you would like to purchase, please do so.

I have just finished listing 9 variations of Valentine Cards to the store and would love to sell them out.  Money will go into my savings account for use later.

The cards come with a envelope to use for mailing.  I left the inside blank for the customer to use their own sentiment.  Just a basic card for Valentines..nothing fancy.

Now I am going to post some pics of our back yard here in Alabama...wish it was SNOW!!!

Now, of course, if this was snow, we would really have a mess.  Water over the road where it is low which is flash flooded areas.

Another January Birthday Card and free file

Good morning ... I finished my granddaughter, Brittany's birthday card and if I say so... I love it. Some of my cards are so-so, and than there are some that are cute...

I started with cutting a template for the inside of the card as this is a pop-up card.  I was aiming for three pop-up 'stairs' but b/c of the width of card, I decided two looked good.

I selected different shades of blue for the card, and the inside insert is a card stock from Stampin! Up stash that I've had for awhile and don't know the name of the color...I'm not even sure if Stampin! Up carries this shade anymore....I traced the template on the folded insert and than cut in about an inch on each side and one inch for the step.  I folded the step and than popped it out when I folded the insert back to its' original look.

I cut out the shadow for Happy Birthday three times as I wanted to give it a chipboard look.  After cutting out three shadows for each word, I used my adhesive tape and glued it so as to look like chipboard.
Here is a close up look at what I was going for.  And glue-ing together was not too bad...just took my time..sometimes I tend to work too fast and become sloppy ....:-)

Once again, back to my trusty Cricut Expression and I cut out the individual letters in Happy Birthday using Annfold font ... I love this font.  Than I used my X sticker making machine and added adhesive to the back of each letter and glued to the correct spot on the shadow area.  A couple letters off a little bit, but I felt I done good with them.

And once finished with adding to the shadow, I attached Happy to the pop-up stairs, using foam strips, placed on the steps.  The word Birthday was glued to the card insert.

Now to the front:

I used the same technique with the numbers cutting out six each for the number and than cut the number in blue and individually glued the numbers, giving it a look of chipboard, and I embossed the floral strip onto a contrasting blue card stock using a embossing folder from Cuttlebug-Provo Craft.  Glued to the card, and than using foam strips I attached the number 22 on top of the strip.  This pic only shows one navy colored bead but I added another one on the right side.  Before attaching the embossed strip and numbers, I spritzed the card with color ink spritzer from Stampin! UP using a contrasting blue...

Now back into the inside of the card...I wanted to add something into the center of the card, between the pop-up stairs and felt three candles would look good there so I used a design from a cd  Designer Scrapbooks with Sandi Genovese, converted it a svg cut, cut them out - three candles with two white underneath to give it the look of chipboard, the top candle and than cut the candle out on yellowish card stock and cut the flame and glued it to the candle.

Here is the final look....

Now we are ready for the free file...I am sharing the 3-Candle file with you all today for your own personal use only.  Zip file includes svg,mtc,scut2,scut3,pdf, and EPS/AI which can be loaded into whatever photo editing software you have.

Click here to download the file.

Whew, this was a long post...lol.  I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.  Thank you for allowing to share this with you, and now onto the next birthday card which will simpler than this one, and than to the Valentine Cards.  Hugs to all.

Granddaughter...Crystal

I have been playing with Abode Photoshop Elements Ver. 7 and learning some new stuff...not too old to learn new tricks...

And here's what I done with the younger granddaughters...

It's keeping me from being bored...weather's yucky and nothing much going on around here.  Kassi's pic is b/4 glasses!!

Now I will work on my 22 year old granddaughter's birthday card, and than onto general cards.  I am 'attending' an online card classes over at Clean and Simple  Online Card Classes and today was the first day...I'm excited with attending...learning new techniques and being inspired by the ideas presented in the class and gallery.

Thank you for stopping by and chat later.  Hugs to all.

Granddaughter's Birthday Card

Good morning to all...I've been working on birthday cards for my two oldest granddaughters.  First completed card is for my 23 year granddaughter whose birthday is this coming Friday, the 13th!

A picture of work in progress  ... the card stock measurements (mine, that is) is 12x7.  I folded the card to get the center, and than scored three lines on each side of the center fold...for a accordion fold ... the original came from Scrapbook-Showgram where she featured it in a video ... giving sizes as 13 1/4 x 7....I had to downsize the size b/c of lack of cardstock for the correct size.  Also, in her video she had 3 columns of hands in four rows...since I downsized the card base to 12" I used three rows, and guess what the hands was to be three columns but I could not fit the middle row in so changed to two columns which I like as well.

I used Annfold font to create the numbers, print the number first on my printer, than cut the circle around the number using my Cricut.  Plus I cut out a scalloped circle and hand-cut the tags attached to the bottom to make it look like a ribbon.

Once again, using Annfold font, I created the birthday title and attached Happy to the first row with the hands (I apologize for the poor picture taking here) and attached Birthday to the card base.  The bottom strip of card stock was used to cover a 'boo-boo' I done! Also, on the ends of each cuff, I glued-dot a button in contrasting colors which is making the card bulky to mail...just add extra postage and had a large envelope on hand to mail.  Sandi used a punched out circle for the 'button'...I did not have correct size of punch so used from my spare button collections....

Now to the free files to share with you today....

A Free File for January 4, 2012

Good morning ... hope your day is going well for you all as it is here in Alabama...cold and sun shining.  I worked up a 4-Set of Tags for personal use only.  Actually, two of the tags are more of frames that can be used over your design.  I also created my version of a scalloped ribbon border using a retweaked number 8.  And I added another version of scalloped circle nesties.

Thank you for stopping by and see you on Saturday.  Hugs to all.

January 3, 2012

Today is a beautiful sunny day, but a little 'cold' outside.  I really don't mind since I am originally from a state that has very cold weather in the winter with lots of snow.  And I grew up in South Dakota where there is/was plenty of snow especially when I was growing up there on the farm.

I will be offering a free file to share with you later today or tomorrow.  I am presently working on it plus I plan to make up a couple thank you cards using Sandi Genovese's Hand Clapping Card that she presented in her video of last week....Scrapbook Showgram ... I just have to retweak the size of the card base since I do not have my order for 12x18 heavy style construction paper yet.

I have so many ideas for 2012 going thru my head right now that I would like to create...especially mini-albums for the grandchildren to use plus working on scrap pages for the granddaughter's scrapbooks.

Thank you for visiting today, and {{hugs}} to all.
