A Freebie on Monday

Good morning and Happy Trick or Treaters out there....hope all the goblins, ghosts, and witches get plenty of treats and no tricks played.  :-)  I am running a theme of block cars for this week...instead of a train pull toy, this can be linked up using cars.  Makes a good theme for a boys' card, scrapbook page, or using vinyl can decorate a baby's room or a little boy's room.  Here is the first car....

I am going to do a little something different today...enter a Show and Tell Link Up Party  at Cuttin' Up with Class that she has the end of each month displaying your project that you worked on.  What I worked on is two mini-milk carton boxes that I am planning to fill with Halloween candy and send to my two granddaughters in Kansas for Halloween.  Click on the above link and from there go onto the projects for the month from other followers of her blog.

Kitty in a Pumpkin scrapbook page

Hi....I have completed a scrapbook page using Kitty in a Pumpkin design from Adams Acres who I design for.  Using my youngest granddaughter for the Halloween, 2010 page for her scrapbook, I set up the Kitty in the Pumpkin in the right hand corner of the page.  Kassidy dressed up ... ????.... don't know, but she is cute in the pic (I'm not prejudiced, am I!!) It may have been a dress up for Halloween at their school she attends...

I know it's the same pic but the top is actual one and the second pic is brighten up using Picnik and not really sure I like can decide! lol

The cut file can be found here Adams Acres

Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all.

Granddaughter's 11 yrs old today

My granddaughter, Alexis is celebrating her 11th birthday today....and she's enjoying it I'm sure.  I finished her birthday card today and will mail out next week when I receive my s.s. check.  When she celebrates her 12th birthday, she may be living in Korea while Daddy is stationed there with the U.S. Army.  No going to Afghanistan for him....YAY.

I will be slipping a ten dollar and one dollar bill under the tag that states: Ten and One = 11 .... it's easier to mail than a pkg!! :-)

Thank you for stopping by and next birthday card to work on is for my youngest sister in Chicago.  And than work on projects for the design teams I am working with.  Hugs to all.

New Freebie to share

Good hump day to u all this week; and we're over half way through October.  I have another freebie to share with you .... available in svg and MTC cuts.

And here is the Scalloped Doilies file.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.  See u all on Saturday.  And check out DtsArtsblog today for Team A's design work.

Today's posting is about a Notebox holder along with a cut file for single or double sheets.  It was very easy to do up, and I added a Loopy Frame from the first session of our team work.

I am making this up as Christmas gifts for my adult granddaughters and this one I used the French Script font, increasing it as a shadow.  The frames are from the Gone Loopy Frames design .. one I especially like, as u can see.  As you can see in the next pic I made a boo-boo...the design paper that comes from the bottom up around the edges was to be on the front top where the frame sits, too.

But, u know, it looks great the way I done it....and it wasn't the first mistake of the morning!  :-)

This one is for my oldest granddaughter, using the French Script font for the letter, attached to Gone Loopy Frame with purple ribbon threaded through the scalloped holes.  I ran the loopy frame thru my Cuttlebug with the swiss dot embossing folder (embossed both frames in both pics).  Popped up the center circle with pop-ups to give it some popping.  This one I will not show the sides...hee,hee.  The blue cardstock should've been inserted inside the box, but, once again, I was not paying attention to what I was doing.

My final one that I worked on is kinda 'plain jane' notebox holder.  Cardstock is beige background with polka-dot design.  I used a ribbon and threaded thru the slits and decided to stamp the word Hello onto white cardstock, cut it to a rectangle size, and layered on brown cardstock.  (Took the pic of third notecard holder with the other two...none separately).

The cut file for the Notecard Holder can be found at   DtsArtsblog

Freebie meant for Saturday

Here I am to share my freebie that was meant for Saturday but so much of life interfered and I got distracted... I am offering a svg cut of a turkey and cornstalk with pumpkins in one file.'s kinda like 2 cut files I am sharing today.

Here is the svg file... Cornstalk-Pumpkin-Turkey

Sorry, I am not very original with titles for my files.  Now to post my blog for Doodle Tales and finish up my project for DtsArtsblog, plus make up a what I call a 'photo-box tent' where I can take my pics of projects and should be sharp and clear...

For those that are interested in this concept  of how-to-make-a-inexpensive-light-tent click on the link and will take u to the info.

Thank you for stopping by and I really appreciate that, and hugs to all.

I owe the team leader/owner of Doodle Tales an apology for remarks I made on my blog earlier this week, which I since deleted.  In the original blog, I made it sound like he wanted me to go out to buy a brand new camera so I submit high quality pics of  my work done for him.  That was not his intention, and rather than I wait and work this out, I made some wrong assumptions, and quickly resigned from the team which I have asked he reconsider and allow me to stay on.

My problem with the camera is batteries ... and having no extra cash to purchase the batteries needed right now.  But...I did find the rechargeable batteries, after 2 months of them sitting in my laptop carrying case (traveling and security checks caused me to move the batteries from the purse to the laptop carrying case and couldn't locate them until I made a more thorough search) in a few moments I will see how they're working.

Plus my usage of Photoshop Elements 7 is very basic...just manage to get around to insert a watermark on it.  And teach myself how to add a shadow to some of my pics.  PrintShop Pro and Photoscape is about the same ordeal.  If anyone knows of a website that gives plain instructions how to use the above software with written out instructions please let me know.

I try to take several pics of my work so the team leader can decide what to post on their blog(s).  I know that I have a focusing problem with the camera...and there is a icon on the screen of a hand that I have no idea what it means.  No instruction book...purchased 2nd hand from my son and daughter-in-law about three or four years ago.

I apologize again for the remarks on the deleted blog...and will learn to wait patiently and work out problems b/4 posting.  Thank you and hugs to all.

Freebie Saturday

I forgot today is Saturday and I usually post a freebie but with problems with camera and other matters, I completely forgot to create and post one for today.  I will be working on a file and post later tonight or early in the morning.

Plus my daughter-in-law's dog, Carter had a biopsy yesterday and it has depressed me...left me crying as she is one good dog...always there for my daughter-in-law when she has seizures.  Here is a photo of the 'old' girl enjoying a little time at the lake in Kansas...

They done a biopsy to see how advanced the cancer has spread thru her body...and from there a decision will be made.....I love this dog even tho she is not mine, but she is part of my family and she is one sweet dog.

Thank you for stopping by and allowing me to cry on your shoulder, so to speak.  Hugs to all.

This cut file is available at Adams Acres

I believe the young man in the photo with my granddaughter is Aaron who she will be seeing in a few months when my son and family move to Korea with the U.S. Army.... that will be a reunion worth a bunch of

Post-It-Notes Holder

This week I am guest designer for the svg team B and finished up the post-it-notes holder.  At first, I couldn't figure out how to fold the holder so it would be equal sizes on top and bottom, and than I decided may-be the best thing for me to do is follow the instructions that was included with the cut files...and it is the results...

The cut files for this way to cute project can be obtained at DtsArtsblog.

This would make a cute Christmas stocking gift for friends and family....I may just make several of these up for my granddaughters to go with their gifts this year.

Check out the following Team B members blog for their designs of the Post-it-Note folder:

This Candy Corn Peeps cut files available at DtsArtsblog for purchase.

Sharing another freebie

October is my favorite month...trees changing colors, cooler temperatures, harvesting and Halloween.  Plus hayrides and bobbing for apples.  Apple pies to make and savor.  Of course, there is leaves to rake and in some areas that allow, to burn.

This file includes a svg and MTC format, and two of the titles even though you can separate the file from the original.  It would make a lovely card, or a Fall page for a scrapbook.

Happy Harvest 10-08-11

Candy Corn Peeps

Good morning friends...I'm here posting my project for DtsArtsblog ...they were soooo cute to work on...

Candy Corn in disguise as a pirate, ghost, a gnome, clown, a ladybug, and a witch.  I chose the witch and the ghost as u can see in the following picturs.

My first pic shows the witch attached to a spider-lid treat box...found the instructions for this box at Denise's Scrabooking Room...only problem I had was sizing the box to fit.

The second pic is of a card I made using the Candy Corn granddaughter will get a kick out of this for Halloween.

Hop on over to the following team members for their projects, and the cut file for the Candy Corn Peeps can be found at

Freebie for today

Good morning and welcome to my blog.  It has been a eventful son, who is the U.S. Army has informed me that his branch mgr is writing up orders for Andy.... to go to Korea for a 3 yr deployment.  This means that his wife and two daughters (my granddaughters) will be going with...unless the Army decides for some reason or other that they can't go b/c of sponsorship, or a glitch in paperwork, than he will be posted in Korea for one year and the family remain at Fort Riley, Kansas.  They're hoping to all go...if nothing else to experience something new in their life.  I am torn with this news but elated too...if he is able to take his family with, that would be 3 years of being together to finish out his contract with the U.S. Army.  He is due out October, 2014 .. there is standing orders for Afghanistan if he had not applied for this change...and ask his mama where I prefer he to go Korea, of course.  It may be a hot spot, but not as hot as Afghanistan.

I worked up a quick freebie to share with you...hope u all can use in your card making or for a page or two in a scrapbook.

It is, what I call, a Pumpkin Head Nestie and available as a svg and MTC cut file.

Come back tomorrow for my project for DtsArtsblog for this weeks design; and check back for the other design team work that I am involved with....I will have projects posted next week for them.

Also, if interested please check out the special offer tomorrow on my blog.  I'm not usually into offering sales of any kind on my blog, but will try this out to see if anyone is interested and will leave up for a week and than delete it if no interest is shown.

I will leave u for now...I have an order to finish and than start another project.  Have a blessed day, and hugs to all.
